Il Pensiero Mazziniano is an Italian periodical edited by the Italian Mazzinian Association.
Since 1946 the journal was published regularly, despite the fact that the first issue was secretly released on July 10th 1944.
For eighteen years it was directed by Terenzio Grandi followed by Vittorio Parmentola. Luigi Bisicchia then became the director in 1976 passing the paton in the late 1980s to Piergiovanni Permoli. Since 1987, Il Pensiero Mazziniano has been transformed into a magazine of political culture.
From 1997 to 2004 the director was historian Sauro Mattarelli.
In 2005 it became a quarterly, joined by the supplement L’Azione Mazziniana and ever since its second issue, journalist Pietro Caruso became its current director.
